We are still ALIVE!

Most recently I've received emails from people asking if the project is dead. But all we had was some problem with the website's server. So don't worry we haven't given up on this film.
The film is STILL alive and getting closer and closer to completion. In February we completed 20 shots. This month we've so far completed 3 shots.

Our sound designer Danijel recently switched from PC to Mac, so we made a little set backwards in term of our time schedule, but we are most sure that the result will be much better.

Justin R Durban is working on the music and I was presented with more music from him, and he is working on getting the sound right.

And all our great compositors are doing their best to get the film done. Reels 2-6 are getting close to be completed. Reel 8 is locked and done. Reel1 and reel 7 are the ones containing most complex visual effects the start and climax of the movie. (each reel is about 15 minutes of film)

Thanks from me, until next time.

PS. if there is anyone out there who would like to know more about this project send me an email!

Another interview has been posted on www.starwars-universe.com this time with Andreas Rylander (who portrays Lord Siege)

Another good news is "Week Threads of Destiny could end today with this news on the creation of the SWU sheet of film but I just get no less than 4 new agreements for an interview by the producer, composer (music) the main actor (Raven) and the head of special effects. "

First music recived

Last night Justin R Durban sent me his first version of the first 8 minutes of the film. So far I'm very happy with his work, he has really started to nail the more darker mood and emotion I'm looking for in the score.

I wanted to work with Justin for I think he has a very good sense of mixing both big adventure action packed music with intimate emotional.

My pitch to him about the music is that I want this to be a sort of darker sci-fi then the other Star Wars films. Which normally are very light hearted even thou they are dealing with dark themes. Such as Alien3 and Transformers.
We will use the original opening and end credits music composed by John Williams, to maintain the Star Wars feel to the film. But everything in-between that will be new and introduce you to a new darker Star Wars.

I'm looking forward to hear more from him. Currently he is scoring the space battle of the movie!

Christmas present - from Andreas Feix

Now during christmas holiday, German compositor Andreas Feix put together a reel of some of those shots he made during 2009. Compositing is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene.

Click below to check out his awesome work. It's a true honor to get the chance to work with him on this project.

TOD at Sci-fi convention in Sweden 5-6 december 2009

Last weekend myself and my teammates at Branbomm film (www.branbomm.se) where at the Scandinavian Scifi, Game & Film Convention here in Stockholm/Sweden. We where there to represent and talk about "Threads of Destiny" but also our other films" Dead on arrival" "Dead chick in the closet" "Rana" and "Overkill". We had a great time and sold out every DVD copy we had of our finished films. Which I had spent hours and hours the days before to make DVD copies of.

We had a wall full of our posters, and the most eye catching poster was from Threads of Destiny portraying the Sith Lord Siege (Andreas Rylander). One of the best comments I got from someone watching the posters "Is this the new Star Wars TV show they talked about?"

ADR for TOD...

Just wanted to give a headsup that the ADR (automated dialogue replacement) for Threads of Destiny was finished last night. Or at leas the first pass of the entire film. It was great having all the principle actors back, a few of them I haven't seen to close to a year. We also began with some of the foley (The purpose of foley is to complement or replace sound recorded on set at the time of the filming) for the film.

TOD is like a giant jigsaw puzzle! all pieces needs to be in place for the entirety, or otherwise it will look/sound bad.
